Word of the Week for January 10, 2010

What a tough night Thursday night was as I watched my Longhorns fall to Alabama, but there is always a bright spot. Following the game Colt McCoy, the Texas quarterback who was injured in the first series, gave an amazing post-game interview. When asked how he felt, he said, “I always give God the glory. I never question why things happen in my life the way they do. God is in control of my life, and I know if nothing else, I am standing on the Rock!” WOW!

I love to watch the reporters when something like that happens, because they are so uncomfortable and don’t know how to respond. That is a perfect picture of the world. When we stand up for Jesus, the world does not know what to do . . . they become uncomfortable.

I pray that in 2010 through Christ we make the world uncomfortable, and as a result the world is changed!

I hope you have a great week!
