Word of the Week
What an incredible week of Vacation Bible School we just had! I mean that on so many levels. VBS is a time to watch the church work! I mean that in every sense of the word…work. It takes everyone from registration people, to kitchen crew, to hospitality ladies, to teachers, to recreation people, to children, to audio visual people, to people who gave financially to support the ministry . . . the list could go on and on. A huge THANK YOU goes out to all of you!!!! Dorothy Brusaw did an amazing job of getting the week together and deserves a pat on the back for a job well done!
I love seeing the church work. At times it looked like ants working, but everyone was pulling in the same direction. How pleasing that must be to God!

Father’s Day is a great day! It is even better now that I am a father! Today I believe you are in for a treat. Several men in our church are going to be sharing testimonies during our services this morning. God has been so good to us as a church family and today we will hear some testimonies of God’s goodness!

Summer is officially here! With summer comes a week of Super Summer for our leadership students as well as Vacation Bible School soon to follow. I hope you will keep Les, me and the students attending Super Summer in your prayers!
Next Sunday at 6:00pm Vacation Bible School officially kicks off here at FBC! Saddle Ridge Ranch will be a great time of fun, crafts, and Bible study for the children of our community! I love VBS week because it is an opportunity for the children to hear about Christ, but it is also incredible to watch the church family grow closer together and get to know people they might not already know. If you have never been involved in VBS, you are missing out. Show up next Sunday night at 6:30, and I guarantee you there will be something for you to do to help out!

Word of the Week
Today is a huge day in the life of FBC Grandview! Not only are we going to be voting on calling Les Williams to be our new student minister, but it is also the night our committees will meet to elect chairmen and budget and finance representatives.
I love the fact that as individual members of this church, we all have equal say in what goes on in the ministry of the church. We get to vote and we have the opportunity to serve on committees that do the work in the life of the church! I am glad you are here this morning to vote, and I hope you will make it a priority to be here tonight at either 5:00 or 5:30, if you are serving on a committee for the 2010-2011 church year!
