Word of the Week for August 30, 2009
Friday night the 2009 Grandview Zebras made their debut! On Monday night the community will get to “meet” the Zebras! What a great opportunity for the people of our area to meet and encourage these young men and for these young men to make an impression on the smaller children of this community. After Monday they will all be known!
Ryan Hurt has written a new song about making God famous! It is an amazing song with a world changing message. As a church, we will begin a campaign today to make God famous in our town. We even have signs which can be placed in yards to let others around us know who God is.
Remember! It is all about Jesus! Let’s make Him famous!

Word of the Week for August 23, 2009
This past Friday night I had the privilege of doing something new. Cameron and I got in the car and headed to Grandview Elementary School for Meet the Teacher Night. Cameron has been so excited about starting school, while dad has been a little apprehensive. (Not a big fan of the boys growing up!) I have walked the halls of the school for several years taking Shelly things for school, but this was different. This was now where Cameron would go to school! A new experience in an old place!
I thought about my Christian walk. I have been a Christian for 30 years now and thought when was the last time I had a “new experience” in an old Christian faith? I challenge you with the same thought! Ask yourself this question, and I believe you will begin a new chapter in your journey with Christ!

Word of the Week for August 16, 2009
The past couple of weeks have been some of the busiest I have had in a long time. It seems like just when I think things are going to slow up a bit and I can catch up, something else comes along. Does that ever happen to you? I am sure it has!
My point is this . . . Don’t let the hectic schedules and lives we lead take away from your time with God. I cannot imagine getting through life as it is without my time alone with my Savior. So my challenge to you this week is sit down and soak up Jesus! He is waiting for you!

Word of the Week for August 9, 2009
What a wonderful summer we have had! From summer camps to Vacation Bible School to mission trips we have seen God do some incredible things in our midst! It is now time to begin turning our attention toward the fall. That is right! It is time for football games, volleyball games and school!
With the start of school comes our Back to School Fair. This Saturday we will meet at the city park to minister to people in our community. There will be free haircuts for school age children, vision and dental screenings, school supplies, food, and lots of fun. I hope you will come out and take advantage of the fun and do your part to minister! Carter BloodCare will be here as well, if you are a blood donor.
