I had the privilege to go to watch my college Alma Mater, Sam Houston State, play in the National Championship game yesterday! It has been fun for me to tell people this week “I am getting to go to the National Championship football game!!!!” Then I tell them it is not LSU and ALABAMA but SHSU and North Dakota State. We then all giggle. However, I know this much . . . Sam Houston may be small but if they won, they are the national champions!! They are the best at what they do!!
I found that to be a challenge for us as a church. We may be small and may not be able to do what FBC Dallas or Fellowship Church can, but we can be the BEST at what we do and what God has called us to! So in 2012 I say, “Let’s Go Team!”
