Tomorrow is my birthday! I remember when I was a child the anticipation of another birthday. I could not wait to have another birthday. Now as I get closer to 40 than 30, birthdays do not seem to have quite the same excitement. The hair is falling out. The waistline is growing. The pains seem to be more apparent. Who says getting older is a good thing?
As I get older, I find myself asking myself what type of difference I am making. I wonder if I have accomplished all that I am capable of? It is a daily reminder to me how I need to have the faith to run the race so as to attain the crown of righteousness laid up for me.
Let my reflection on getting older be a challenge to you this week to run the race for our Lord in such a way which is pleasing to Him!
