Can you believe it? Summer is almost upon us. The school year is winding down and soon we will be complaining how it is “too hot!” With summer comes many opportunities of ministry and service. I want to encourage you to begin praying and considering some areas where God might be calling you to serve.
Vacation Bible School is the week of June 7th-11th this year at our church. What a great occasion to tell children in our community about the love of Christ! Perhaps you are not someone who is a “teacher.” That is alright . . . there are many other places you can serve and be a part of one the most fun and action packed weeks of the year. The week of July 20th-24th we will be taking our 3rd-5th graders to Latham Springs for camp. We will need scholarships and sponsors for this week. Is this an area you could serve?
Our annual mission trip is scheduled for the last week of July, from the 25th- Aug. 1st. What better way to get to know people than to spend a week sweating together building a building and doing backyard Bible clubs? Do you hear God calling?
Also, right here in Grandview we will be helping put a new roof on Bethlehem Baptist Church this summer. What an opportunity to show our love to a sister church in our own town. Will you help?
